RESTORATIVE AYURVEDA & YOGA

In this self-paced 6-day course, we'll be nourishing our body, mind, and spirit.

Through the lens of yoga's ancient sister science Ayurveda (which means the "science of life"). We'll explore how Ayurveda defines nature through our Prakruti (our consciousness), while moving through restorative classes designed to soothe and ground the body.

In This Series

We’ll be exploring themes from the 3 Doshas: Vata, Kapha, and Pitta to deepen our practice. Each Dosha is associated with various seasons and distinct parts of the body.

In the West, we often look at yoga and Ayurveda as two separate modalities. When in reality, Ayurveda and yoga go hand-in-hand as the sister science of yoga. Ayurveda is an ancient Hindu system of medicine. It looks at all body systems to find where dis-ease may be showing up. 

Whereas, yoga eases our mind and ego through movement. It also helps us access our pranayama (breath). The two work together in tandem to help us reach optimal health for our unique constitution or our Dosha.

Meet your instructor

Courtney Jay

Courtney Jay grew up in the mountains of Colorado as a competitive dancer.

Her journey brought her to California where she began practicing yoga and eventually became certified with her 200 HR YTT from Shivakali Yoga, a school rooted in ancient wisdom and a Hatha-based practice.

Today, she is back in the mountains of Colorado with over 12+ years of yoga knowledge. She is also a certified prenatal yoga teacher through Ma Yoga.

Her practice is rooted in the belief that we all have an intrinsic ability to move and connect to our bodies.
